PlaceChangers generates jobs in the North East

North East based PropTech startup PlaceChangers saw its revenues grow substantially over the past 12 month. The business growth followed increased visibility through a series of award successes and new client projects in the UK and Ireland. The company now continues to generate employment in the North East tech sector with the recruitment of it's first full-time staff.

North East a hot bed of proptech success

Activity in the proptech space in the North East has been accelerating. The region is home to some of the leading organisations in the property space, such as Homes England and Home Group, and many others. At the same time, local universities demonstrate a strong innovation base. This is proven by initiatives such as EC3, which is strongly linked with Construction Excellence in the North East

Based on Newcastle, PlaceChangers now works with leading regional and national consultancies, including Hedley Planning, JDDK Architects, Tibbalds Urban Design, and Systra.

PlaceChangers supports local talent

With recent growth success, PlaceChangers has now strengthened their team to tap into national and international opportunities.

Sebastian Weise, Founder, noted

PlaceChangers is committed to the North East economy, having seen the region go from strength to strength in its support for innovative technology firms in the construction space. We are proud to be able to support new jobs and young bright talent in the North East.

After an intensive search, Jonathan Witts was selected and has joined PlaceChangers. He was ideally placed combing a Master's degree in Project Management from Northumbria University with over six years in sales with a UK electronics retain chain.

Jonathan Witts, incoming Business Development Representative at PlaceChangers, said:

My primary interest for projects is within urban renewal and community regeneration due to my upbringing of witnessing stagnation and decline in my hometown. The knowledge gained from university, combined with my 5 years of experience in the tech sales environment has landed me a role within Placechangers. In this role as a business developer, my personal skills and education can be utilised to temper my interests in project development and importantly give a positive contribution to the world.

PlaceChangers is looking ahead optimistically with more technical hires on the horizon. The company is committed to collaborating and working with new talent across the North East and beyond.
